Professional and directors’ liability

Our lawyers have broad experience with cases involving professional liability and have brought several high-profile and principal cases within this area of law before the courts. This experience includes cases concerning liability for auditors, lawyers and financial advisers (see also company law as well as tort and insurance).

We combine solid industry knowledge with our general experience in dealing with large and complex disputes.

Our lawyers have been involved in several of the most important Norwegian cases concerning professional liability in recent years. As an example, Aron Solheim and Nils-Henrik Pettersson represented the creditor in a claim against the auditor in the Finance Credit case, and Pettersson represented the auditor in the fundamental Supreme Court case on auditor liability of recent years (the Ivaran case: Rt-2003-696).
